MCSL Executive Board Regarding 2021 Swim Season
April 20, 2021
The MCSL Executive Board is pleased to announce that the Montgomery County DHHS has approved both our COVID-19 Practice Protocol and our COVID-19 Meet Policy! Links to these documents may be found here:
All participants must sign a Waiver of Liability that will be incorporated into each team's registration process. If you have questions, please contact your team representative and he/she may bring those questions to the Executive Board's attention. We will be creating a weekly "Frequently Asked Questions" document that will address questions surrounding how to operate practices and meets.
FOR TEAM REPS:
- We will be holding a special Team Reps meeting Thursday, May 6th at 7:00 pm (note it is an earlier time, and that this special meeting will be held in addition to the usual reps meeting the following week) .
- MCSL teams will be expected to confirm their intent to participate in the 2021 season by midnight on 5/9/21.
- Completed Home Team Capacity Verification information must be submitted to rules@mcsl.org by 5/15/21.
Please note: our COVID-19 Policies have been very carefully created with input from county representatives, coaches, and team representatives. The Dept. of Health and Human Services has granted us approval to practice and compete ONLY under the conditions of these policies. The policies will not be changed unless the DHHS amends the restrictions under which we must operate. All MCSL participating teams will be expected to uphold the conditions of these COVID-19 Practice and Swim Meet policies.
Information from the 2020 season cancellation, including the original plan for 19 year olds, is available here.
If you need to look at results for years prior to 2013, they are available at http://mcsl.org/results/2012/results.php.
Montgomery Magazine has a great article about MCSL in their June/July 2016 issue. Read it here.
